Covid-19 has killed 5.63 million people globally and 869 thousand people in the United States alone. As new variants surface we cannot be responsible for new outbreaks occurring.

That is why this petition was created. California State University - Sacramento will be returning to in person learning on February 7th, 2022. Students were not consulted regarding this decision. The current Sacramento Public Health Order states, “All public boards, councils, commissions, and other similar bodies shall suspend in-person public meetings and conduct all meetings virtually.”

The University has decided to ignore this order and allow classes of 20+ students to take place in person. If you feel that this is too soon or may cause infection rates to spike, we urge you to sign this petition and share it with students and faculty alike. In a perfect world we might be able to return to in person learning, but as of right now it is not safe to do so without putting lives at risk.
