My husband, a father, a family man, a veteran, a friend, a God fearing man happens to also be a Medical Marijuana patient. After serving in the military and being born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee where it's hard for a black man to live past the age of 18, he now suffers from PTSD, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and attachment disorder. Medical marijuana is his only natural  means of mental stability. One night while driving home he was pulled over and the cop claimed he smelled marijuana coming from the car. My husband, being honest said he's a patient and had his marijuana locked in his container and showed him his med card. The cop took him to jail anyway. Now they are trying to charge him with felony distribution and keep him caged like an animal for being a patient. If he used pharmaceuticals and had tons of bottles of pills in his vehicle he would have been let go but because the stigma is still WEED IS BAD this patient was caged. WE NEED CHANGE FOR PATIENTS COUNTRY WIDE!!!!! HIPPA laws protect pharmaceutical patients, they should protect medical marijuana patients. Sign to have medical Marijuana legalized on the federal level. Remove it as a schedule one drug. It's medicine!!!! Let's get the MARIJUANA JUSTICE REFORM AND PROTECTION FOR PATIENTS ACT started and passed to protect patients and their medicine.
