I’m asking people to sign this petition because we have lunatic drivers on Harpur hill road who floor it around the roundabout and down Harpur Road to and from the cottage hospital. 
On the night of February 27th 2021 at 9:25pm I received a phone call from the vets about my beloved Black Cat, Lily. She had been hit by a car at the roundabout and had sadly passed away. Bearing in mind, this roundabout is fully lit with 4 street lights and sign lights on the island itself. The driver didn’t stop what-so-ever, but a lady who works at the vets found her, on her way to pick up a takeaway, she stopped and collected her, took her to the vets and spent a while finding her chip to phone me, she was 15 months old. We went and said our goodbyes at the vets and sorted her cremation, but this could have happened to a child or any other animal.

Im asking for more signs and a clearer speed limit to be in place as well as security cameras all the way down all local side roads so this wouldn’t happen to someone else and receive the same phone call I did about their child or beloved pet, seeing as children and pets are for life and not just for Christmas. These lunatics need to be stopped sooner rather than later, and fines also need to be handed out when they’re caught.
