Friends,
CompassionWorks International has captured footage of Betty for the first time in more than a year.
She is performing and giving rides with the Carden International Circus alongside two other elephants named Cindy and Janice. They are currently touring in Texas. Upcoming performances are taking place in: Sulphur Springs (tonight), Belton, Kerrville, Seguin, West Giddings, and Waco, Texas. Please contact us at info@cwint.org if you are in that area and can take action. Sulphur Springs and Belton have planned protests that you can participate in.
We ask that you help to raise awareness about Betty's plight by connecting with people you may know in Texas and encouraging them to speak out against circus cruelty. We also ask that you once again share this petition, which is nearing 250,000 signatures.
As circuses return to the road dragging elephants and other animals with them, we ask that you remain vigilant and report any activity that you may see here: https://www.cwint.org/infosubmit. Let us know you want to get involved when a circus heads to your region by signing up on the front page of our dedicated anti-circus cruelty website circusprotest.com.
For the animals,
Carrie LeBlanc, M.A.
