The legislature is trying to pass a bill (LD#27) to allow hunters to use high powered crossbows to kill deer along most of coastal Maine (referred to as the Expanded zone.) This bill was voted on behind closed doors.  It will mean hunters will have the ability to use high powered, scoped, rifle-like crossbows to kill deer in coastal communities and neighborhoods.
