ROB STOKES MP - SUPPORT THE CALL TO PROVIDE MULTI LEVEL CARPARKS AT LEPPINGTON TRAIN STATION
2/11/18 EDIT - After receiving the Letter from the Minister for Education refering the Matter to the Minister for Transport I will work to organise a Paper Petiton to Andrew Constance. - See updates
THIS PETITION is TO DEMONSTRATE the "WILL" of the Parents of Leppington Primary School AND to ask Mr Rob Stokes as the NSW Minister for Education to write a "Letter of Support" to Mr Andrew Constance as NSW Minister for Transport and Infrastructure to provide a Multi Level Carpark at Leppington Train Station to accommodate the current demand for parking and to help protect the Safety of Students at Leppington Primary School.
This issue with parking has been ongoing since the station opened in 2015 and the Minister and the NSW Liberal Government continue to ignore the situation.
This lack of parking at Leppington railway station one of the newest additions on the South West train line — is forcing commuters to park their cars all the way down Rickard Road from the Station to in front of the School.
Commuters are being forced to take desperate measures to get a car parking space at the stations including having park some distance away in front of Leppington Primary School.
This issue will only get worse as the population grows as new housing developments that are planned for the Area are built and the School population also grows.
It is obvious that Transport for NSW which based the current number of spaces allocated at Leppington Station on "projected demand" have GOT IT WRONG.
