The Lake Nona Education Village Planned Development, designed by Tavistock, is well on its way here in Lake Nona. On this piece of property off of Narcoossee Rd just south of 417 they have approved a "Big Box" store. Currently it is slated to be a WalMart. This petition is to allow Lake Nona residents to voice their opinion on the decision that has been made by the Tavistock group. We strongly believe that a WalMart IS NOT compatible or consistent with the Lake Nona community. There are already 3 WalMart locations within a span of about 15 miles proximity to Lake Nona. Rob Adams, VP of Tavistock Development Company, is quoted as saying "retail is demand driven" and this petition serves as our voice that a WalMart is NOT was the Lake Nona community demands. We hope that through this petition Tavistock will reconsider what "Big Box" store they decide to allow to build in such a central location of Lake Nona. Thank you for making some noise and letting your voices be heard! Lake Nona is an amazing community and up until now Tavistock has shown that they value its residents. This most recent development is baffling and goes against everything we have ALL built and invested in to be a part of Lake Nona!
