1) Mayor Bowers has made Roanoke synonymous with racism and xenophobia. He praised Japanese American internment camps during WWII, he needs to resign, effective immediately. He has made recruiting new businesses and young people to Roanoke harder to further his political ambitions.

2) Mayor Bowers clearly does not represent Roanokers yet won numerous elections because we have low turnout, low engagement, May elections for City Council. Moving elections to November would save money and improve citizen engagement and oversight of City Council. Let's show everyone that Roanoke is a city of Southern hospitality and civic engagement, we don't turn away vetted refugees and we don't suppress the vote, which allowed this egomaniac, embarrassment to gain power. When all of Roanoke votes in November, we are a tolerant and hospitable city.
