I’ve always been an animal lover and I love cats. As a Police Officer, too often I’ve seen many incidents of cats being run over and owners being left devastated. 
In the last two weeks both of my cats have been run over. One died, the other has a fractured leg, broken teeth, dislocated sternal vertebrae and internal bruising. I firmly believe the Road Traffic Act needs changing in order to include cats as an animal drivers need to stop and report.
