Residents of the Royal Borough of Greenwich are requesting the council to put in place road calming measures on Plumstead Road traffic lights next to the the GIC (Mosque), local shops and train station. The speed of that stretch of road is dangerous with many cars jumping the red lights on a regular basis.there has been a number of RTA's with the most recent one taking the life of an eight year old boy and putting his father and ten year old brother in a critical condition in hospital.
 
We Would like the council to put up a speed camera around the traffic lights.
 
The request the timings of the traffic lights signal , especially the pueriod between the pedestrian signal going red and the beaches recieving the green signal be (legthened) Rectified. 
 
To tackle the inappropriate parking to the east of the area and the bottleneck effect it may create 
 
Reduce the speed of plumstead road to 20 mph 
 
All residents that are crossing that stretch of plumstead road, feel unsafe and would like the council to take action immediately.
