Recently, my family and I had a frightening experience on Sarjapur Road near Aromas Biryani, Doddakannelli. A reckless cab driver, who seemed drunk, tried to hit our car twice and even blocked our way. I had to carefully steer my car to avoid a crash with both the divider and his cab. Although I reported this to a traffic constable right away, I'm deeply concerned about how unsafe our roads have become due to rising road rage and crime.

Road rage incidents have escalated significantly on Sarjapur Road over the past few years. Bengaluru’s roads see over 4,000 accidents every year, with many caused by road rage, according to the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB). Sarjapur Road, being a busy part of our city, is not safe from these troubling incidents. We need to address this serious issue to protect the safety of our community.

This petition calls on local law enforcement and the Bengaluru Traffic Police to take action. We need stricter laws against drunk driving and reckless driving, along with more patrolling, especially during peak traffic hours on Sarjapur Road.
