The three fields on Cumwell Lane in Hellaby, Rotherham (the old strawberry fields) are earmarked for industrial use. Stretton Denman has applied for planning permission for a huge 24 hour warehouse on the fields. If the planning is approved it will most certainly make Hellaby residents feel like they are living in an industrial sandwich. I believe it is likely to be the demise of a small village, which will have been overrun by lorries and industry.

We know there are empty units on the already standing industrial estate. So why build another industrial unit that is likely to be empty for some time. Once filled, the impact on traffic will be intollorable. If it remains empty... what a waste! A waste of land and beauty. 

Our wellbeing should be of paramount importance to the local council. If you believe we are better off without another huge industrial unit, which is a stones throw from residents, please sign the petition. Let's take back our land and make a difference.
