Good morning Kiwi EPL & Football Fans, Our petition reached a few of the local papers / magazines which have had a few journalists contact us regarding the petition. Not 100% sure if any have been published as yet however they will keep us updated regardless. I was hoping we would reach the 1000 mark prior to me contacting Sky TV in relation to the petition however it has been a little while since the petition started and thus I have contacted Sky TV with the current number of signatures we have obtained which is still a pretty decent number just from social media and pending a response from either Richard or Kirsty. Some of you would have already seen in the Herald that a deal may have already been struck to keep the EPL in the country, if that being the case then this is excellent news and I hope that our petition also played its part as Sky were kept updated with how our petition was growing. (Day 1/2 we reached 500+)! I have requested an update to first confirm the deal has been confirmed and then it will be down to how it is going to be sold as a package to us as customers. I have high hopes they will go with a similar structure to Coliseum however this petition was just to ensure that the EPL remained in New Zealand. Then from there, we just hope they have a good setup for the EPL. On a side note, I have requested how the structure will work for the EPL and hopefully different to just playing the top 4 x teams on the weekend.... Will let you all know anyway. Finally, just a huge thank you to all who have signed the petition. We wouldn't have come this far if it were not for your support and hopefully we get the news we all have been asking for soon.
