Village of Riverside residents respectfully request the Board rescind the ordinance permitting vacation rentals in residential-zoned areas.

There is currently one commercial operation renting their home as a Vacation Rental/B&B/Event venue, sleeping over 20 guests and hosting conventions, weddings, reunions, bachelor parties, and more that draw additional guests.  Events have been booked most weekends of the spring and summer and we expect into the fall.   

A commercial property such as this in a residential zoned area changes the living conditions for the families near by.  The result is a significant increase in traffic, street parking, street congestion, noise, garbage and more.  We live in a residential neighborhood and want to maintain that experience.  

If you are impacted by the current business, or would not want a similar business in close proximity to your own home, we ask you sign our petition that will be shared with the Riverside Board of Trustees.
