Hello Señor Rivers,

My name is Daniel Díaz, I live in Mexico City. I am a big soccer enthusiast and a huge Weezer fan. Personally, I root for Pumas, but this doesn't change the fact that I love the history of all Mexican soccer. 

Sadly, one of Mexico's most traditional teams (created in 1943) has just died away because of a corrupt and poorly held administration. In my opinion, this team and its group of fans are one of the most Punk Rock teams ever and seeing them living  like this makes me really sad. We will miss playing against them, we will miss the red and blue colors jumping around in the Pirata Fuente Stadium. 

Rivers, I remember watching the video for "Undone" (my favorite Weezer song next to "El Scorcho" and my favorite video of all time) back in the 90's and hating that you were there using a rival team jersey, I was so fucking jealous. On the other hand, it felt great to watch you there with that jersey that represented Mexico, it just felt right on you (not that a Pumas jersey wouldn't look even better on you, I promise to give you one if you do this great great favor to me and my country).

I know you have that jersey because it was given as a gift to you by a family from Veracruz that you were very fond off. I can assure you most people from Veracruz are as nice, friendly, and helpful as that family. I can assure that not many places in the world deserve a great soccer team as much as the people from Veracruz and that it would be just fucking amazing if you could do anything to bring back that team to them.

I know this really sounds like a stretch but it would be great if you could go and bless the rains down in Veracruz, anything will do. You want to buy the team? Please do.
