2020 NJSLS Comprehensive Health & Physical Education impose INAPPROPRIATE CURRICULUM and gender theories on our children.  Garwood, NJ and a few other Board of Eds in NJ have made it their priority to oppose this teaching in schools.  Our Board of Education has the same right to oppose it.  It doesn't matter what color, culture, religion, or sex you are.  Teaching our children to respect ALL is paramount as we are ALL created equal.   The standards can be accessed here www.nj.gov/education/cccs/2020/2020%20NJSLS-CHPE.pdf 

Do you believe that starting in Preschool (3 years old) children should be taught how to identify what constitutes physical, emotional and sexual child abuse?

Do you believe that 2nd grade (7 years old) children have the capacity to comprehend complex gender theories & make rational & responsible decisions regarding their own personal identity?  

Do you agree that 5th graders (10 years old) should be required to explain romantic and sexual feelings and discuss masturbation?  Do you agree with them discussing and exploring complex gender identity options and being able to prove they can differentiate between them?

Do you agree that 8th graders should be required to define anal and oral sex and discuss pornography and sexting? 

If your answer to the above questions is no, Please Help.

Yes, it is largely left up to the interpretation of the individual educator, but what other sources will be used in facilitating the implementation of these standards?  This IS being implemented.  If we don't stand up for our children, who will?

WE, the undersigned implore that the Riverdale Board of Education Adopt the following Resolution (same as Garwood:)

WHEREAS, the Riverdale BOE intends NOT to adopt the curriculum set forth by the NJ Student Learning Standards covered under the Comprehensive Health & Physical Education 2020 NJSLS-CHPE,

WHEREAS, should we allow the proposed curriculum to move forward, the impact it would have in classrooms would allow the school district to demonstrate topics inclusive of sexual activity such as oral sex, anal sex, masturbation and gender to be discussed with children at various grade levels to comply with the curriculum standards

WHEREAS, the standards set forth are extreme and age inappropriate and were adopted by the NJ State Board of Education.

THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Riverdale BOE of the Borough of Riverdale does not adopt the curriculum set forth by the NJ Student Learning Standards covered under the Comprehensive Health & Physical Education 2020 NJSLS-CHPE.
