Taxi and Private Hire Grant Scheme is designed to support self-employed Hackney Carriage/Dual and Private Hire Drivers who live in the City of Wolverhampton but comes with geographical discrimination. Why?

Central Government funds this scheme and it is consistent with Government guidance on discretionary business grant schemes that applicants should reside in their local authority area.

Geographically discrimination, I work as Private Hire Drivers and live in Tipton just a few miles away and I will not be awarded £2000 as a grant. please see the link below. like me, there are 1000s of drivers who work as taxi/phv drivers for the Wolverhampton City Council but don't live in the City center and will miss out on the grant awarded. We all are hard hit by the pandemic and suffering the most like the hospitality industry. Please join me to take this to our local authorities to make a fair decision.
