The Issue

On March 14th 2016, my 6 year old son while at school had a severe allergic reaction due to being exposed to peanut butter. He is severely allergic to all types of nuts; which the school had been made aware of.  As a precaution the school had been given 2 Epi Pens and Benadryl should there be an allergic incident; which as a parent we hope would NEVER happen.  Upon his exposure to his allergy he broke out in hives and his throat was starting to close. The school then gave the Benadryl along with using the Epi Pen at which he was then transported by ambulance to the hospital. Not only was he having a severe reaction he was sent in an ambulance all alone.  At 6 years of age needless to say extremely scared.  My goal is to help him and all children with allergies to be heard and protected while in the schools care. The only was to prevent this is to eliminate nuts from the school. Please help us to teach everyone how this type of allergy is not just ingested...it is airborne and extremely dangerous. I plead for your help to save our children!!!
