In mid 2013, Riot Games started the Oceanic server beta for League of Legends. As part of this beta players who transferred received the Pool Party Ziggs skin for free. Under normal circumstances players would have received a skin representing the region, however due to the diversity of the OCE region it was difficult for Riot to create a skin that would accurately represent all of us. 

Many ideas have been suggested over the course of those two years and many had been dismissed for not being diverse enough. A recent announcement by Riot confirms that they continue to work on the skin however it comes with a catch. Any OCE players who want the skin will have to pay for it, unlike on other servers where players received their respective servers skin for free. Riot claims there was a misunderstanding in regards to the Pool Party Ziggs skin, being that, because the Pool Party Ziggs skin had already been unlocked for free, the server skin would not be unlocked for free.

Many players have always thought that Riot doesn't care about the OCE server and it's player base, and for two years I defended them from such opinions but have now become one such player. If we don't stand up for ourselves now it will only open the way for Riot to continue exploiting our server.

Our request: Give us the OCE skin for free, as every other server has had with their respective server skins. If we must give up the Pool Party Ziggs skin to achieve this, so be it. We never asked for it and were never told it would come at the cost of the OCE skin.

Disclaimer: Keep in mind, Riot has "promised" the profits from sales of the OCE skin will go to charity, and I have no issue with this. In fact, I admire that they can make this promise while, at the same time, exploiting their player base.
