League of Legends released in 2009, we are now nearing 2021, the game has accumulated over 65 million active monthly players, the highest for any video game, from different regions like Europe, Americas, China, South Korea, and thousands of players from India itself. But there is still no server for India, even though it is really popular and keeps growing. 

There are many companies investing in this country, and games are constantly approaching the Indian market because of the number of players. Companies like Valve and Tencent have made fortunes in the country by introducing Indian servers.

The only way to play League here is by connecting to North America, EUW or Garena, with pings of 250ms, 150ms and 60ms respectively. Although Garena seems like the best option, it really isn't. The majority of Indian League players still choose to play on NA or EUW because of a language barrier on Garena and long queues. But the pings in these servers make it frustrating for us. Many players choose dota 2 over League, simply because it has its own servers, even though League is way more fun to play.

There are League communities in India too, even though they aren't widely known yet, only because there is no proper server for us to play on. But its gaining lots of popularity very quickly. It would be great if Riot sets up a server for India.
