Hello all, 

Thank you so much for the overwhelming level of support for this cause! It has been brought to my attention that the website offers an option to "chip in" for the cause. I just want to make it clear the money only goes to promoting the petition. It does NOT go to me, and it will NOT pay for any light structures. 

I wasn't even aware that donating was an option when I made the petition. I just want signatures and shares to bring awareness to the cause. I will need to have further discussions with IDOT and the highway offices before I would be comfortable fundraising anything. 

I just wanted to apologize to anyone who donated thinking they were donating to light installations or anything like that. I will not ask for money from you until I know that the donations will get lights installed. If you want to donate a couple dollars to keep the petition relevant and promoted, by all means. It is greatly appreciated. However, I am totally okay with only shares and signatures.
