Here's what's new:

Our website has gotten a major update with a comprehensive FAQ section that addresses common questions about the movement. If you haven't checked it out yet, take a look at righttotimelessness.com to learn more about why this simple choice matters.

Our stance remains clear:

"We're not asking for a revolution. We're asking for a toggle."

Just like dark mode, focus modes, or notification settings, we simply want the option to hide time displays when we choose. Nothing forced, nothing radical. Just user choice.

This is a long-term commitment

Real change in tech doesn't happen overnight. We're in this for the long haul, building momentum step by step. Whether it takes months or years, the conversation about temporal autonomy and user control over our digital environments is one worth having.

Every signature, every share, every conversation helps. Keep spreading the word, this movement grows through people like you who understand that something as basic as choosing when we see the time shouldn't be impossible.

Thank you for being part of this!

Q: But sometimes you NEED to know the time, right?

A: Absolutely! That's why we're asking for a CHOICE, not banning clocks. When you need the time, open the clock app or press a shortcut. What we want to stop is the CONSTANT, UNAVOIDABLE presence of time on every screen, always.

Q: Isn't this just... excessive?

A: We have universal settings for font size, color schemes, and notification preferences. Nobody calls that excessive. Why should control over time display be different? For some people, this is the key to better focus, less anxiety, and more wellbeing. For others, maybe not. So let it be a CHOICE.

Q: Can't people just... have self-control?

A: Would you say the same about dark mode? "Can't people just squint?" Interface design has HUGE impact on behaviour. Constant visual reminders create stress, regardless of "discipline." We're not asking for weakness, we're asking for control over our own tools.

Q: Wouldn't this break apps or cause problems?

A: No. This is a DISPLAY setting, not a system change. Apps can still use time for functionality (alarms, planners, timezones). They just need to respect the visual clock display when a user has disabled it. Same as dark mode: apps still work, they just look different.

Q: Why would tech companies ever implement this?

A: Because it strengthens their "user empowerment" branding. Because it addresses the demand for digital wellbeing. And especially: because enough people ask for it. Apple added dark mode after years of user demand. Microsoft added virtual desktops. Change happens when users collectively speak. That's why this petition matters.

Q: Isn't this just laziness / procrastination?

A: On the contrary. Many people want to hide the clock to focus DEEPER, artists, writers, programmers in flow state. It's not about ignoring time, but removing temporal pressure when it's counterproductive. Deadlines still exist. Responsibilities remain. But constant clock awareness isn't the same as productivity.

Q: What if I miss an appointment?

A: Alarms and notifications still work. This feature only hides the PASSIVE clock display, not active reminders. Think about it: for millennia, people didn't have watches but still kept appointments. Context and intention are enough. And for those who feel uncertain, nobody's forcing you to use it. It's an OPTION.

Q: Can't I already do this with jailbreak/root/custom ROM?

A: Some people can, but why should a fundamental interface choice require a hack? We don't accept "root your phone to get dark mode." Why accept it for clock-hiding? Accessibility shouldn't be limited to tech-savvy users. This must be a standard, universal right.
