People with a terminal condition often die for years sometimes "only" months before their last breath.  The pain and suffering can and should be alieviated by them working with their doctors.  This would save insurance companies the cost to try to keep them "Comfortable".  The life insurance companies have to pay when they die of natural causes so it is win win.  

I have stage 4 breast cancer and am doing well for now.  I have had friends and family that I have watched die.  They suffered in pain and without any dignity in front of their loved ones.  This emotional journey effects all involved.  Until one experiences facing ones mortality they cannot make judgement.  Let the patient decide.  Too much beauracracy gives power to those trying to play GOD and take away compasion and respect.
