WHAT: 27 ABBOTT AVENUE NEIGHBORHOOD ACTION COMMITTEE - INLAND-WETLANDS HEARING
WHEN: THURS, AUGUST 24th at 7pm - Via Zoom | Link to be published and shared on Weds, August 23rd
Good afternoon Ridgefield friends and neighbors,
As you know, our little street is actively opposing a large 14-unit / 3 story monstrosity proposed for the middle of our lovely block. We would love your continued support in the form of attendance at the Inland-Wetlands Board hearing via Zoom. All you have to do is register online - this is one way that we can show that Ridgefield residents (in large numbers) CARE about their town.
We will NOT volunteer our neighborhood for additional flooding, disturbance to and extinction of wildlife, and further complicate our parking, snow removal and traffic. The proposed building would not enhance our neighborhood in any way, nor would it attract anyone to buy a home here. The building's ONLY purpose is to pack as many humans into a box as possible and collect those rents. There is absolutely no win-win here. Our neighborhood appeal would be lost. Our home values would plummet. And for what?
The more people who register and click into the hearing, the better. You don't have to attend the entire hearing, just the Abbott Avenue segment. I will forward the hearing details and the link on Weds, August 23rd, when the town publishes it. If you know of anyone else who would like to join, please send them my way!
STRENGTH IN NUMBERS !
Thank you so much for supporting our neighborhood and Ridgefield.
