On Wednesday i had a Meeting with the new caseworker, at Barnsley Town Hall, meeting went very well, and hopefully i will have a meeting with the Minister during Summer recess, i explaind how the police thought they were home free by saying due to Ricki Passing away before the day he was found that their lack of action that day would not have changed the outcome, but then after back and fourth with the police for the last 12 months, i find out after the inquest that Ricki's mother called police 5 days before, and was told to call NHS111 so she did and NHS 111 called her back saying they could not get hold of Ricki and that she needed to call police back and get him put as a Missing Person, She called police back but even with NHS 111 saying he needed to be put as a Missing person South Yorkshire Police said his mother who lives over an hours away and doesn't drive plus its after 9pm has not made enough  effort to check that Ricki is not at home. SO THE POLICE DID NOTHING.

As his cause of death and time are classed as Undetermined,if the police or NHS 111 had checked on Ricki 5 days before and only 3 days since l last spoke to him, there is a high chance he would be alive. but as i stated before South Yorkshire Police(and other forces) rolled out this new policy without the support of the NHS Trusts, which means the only people who are benefiting are the police at the cost of peoples lives. anyway i was told that the Minister is very interested in Ricki's case and i will keep you posted.
