The Russell Home is at risk of shutdown by the state for not being licensed and categorized by the state.

The Russell Home is a place where special needs people live and are cared for by an amazing staff of full-time and volunteer workers. It's operated as an independent non-profit for 60 years and we ask that it may continue to do so as it is self-sufficient and very crucial to the lives of many.

The home is in the middle of adding a new addition to their property which was paid for entirely in donations by the community.

If the home is shutdown, many of over 2 dozen special needs people (some who have lived there for over 40 years) would be uprooted and turned over to the state program, and this would be tragic to the legacy of The Russell Home.
