America has no more room for children in the political force. It is time we call to action and hold those accountable for their actions. Senators like Rick Scott are no longer representing the people. Senator Rick Scott has made it clear that the interests of his own are most important. The Florida Senator has openly supported Donald Trump and each and every action he has made. The Senator refuses to hold the former president accountable for his actions and truly believes that the riot at the capital was not incited by Trump or a few of the republican members of the house and senate. Senator Rick Scott has only been a representative in the Senate for Florida since the 2018 election. During this election, he was narrowly elected -that was our first mistake. Now we must hold him accountable for the words he has spoken and his attack on the “liberals”.

Rick Scott has made it clear that, anyone with opposing views to his own, is an enemy. He will not represent us, he will only represent what he thinks is best for us. This type of representation is not needed in Florida- we are too big!! We need direct democracy where our voices are heard and the votes reflect that. We need someone other than Rick Scott to be in the Senate speaking on behalf of Florida. If Marco Rubio (R) can condemn the president, shouldn’t our other senator do the same rather than send emails condemning Democrats and “the liberals”?

Rick Scott represents a flip state- We are always one of the closest races, so labeling any state as strictly liberal is an insanely uneducated response. He has made it clear that all he sees is red or blue. We need a representative who understands and cares about Florida and the fact that we’re 50/50 and that a vast majority of our voices aren’t being heard. 

Now of course, democracy is the only proper way to elect officials, which is why this petition has been created. Think of this as your vote towards the resignation of Rick Scott. Every person signing this is asking Senator Rick Scott to step down from his position and allow progress to be made in Florida. We ask that the senate support his removal and hear our voice
