We are making some headway with with House Bill 7055 Section 50. Our petition has 10k supporters and Superintendent Runcie has sent a letter to Governor Rick Scott asking him to exempt testing for all students including the graduation requirement. But we need your help. We need to contact our local legislators to call upon Rick Scott as well. Your voice counts and the more calls we make the more power we have. The Miami Herald ran another story this morning so we need to take action now. I am hoping our students can count on you to take a few minutes to call our lawmakers and share your personal stories. Let them know we need to focus on healing and not on testing. They are not ready emotionally or academically. Testing exemptions should include ALL tests for ALL students not just some as they ALL suffered the same traumatic experience and have missed out on significant instruction time. Our students and MSD families thank you! Governor Rick Scott (850) 717-9249 (850) 488-5603 HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES Chair Michael Bileca (305) 273-3235 FLORIDA SENATE Senator Lauren Book (954) 424-6674 Senator Kevin Rader (561) 443-8170 Senator Bill Montford (850) 487-5003
