We, the property owners and residents of Richmond County, do strongly OPPOSE Diatomite Corporation's rezoning application for the property located at Fones Cliffs. The rezoning of this property would go against the County’s own Strategic Plan and sets a dangerous precedent while putting Richmond County at risk for increased pollution & congestion. We have chosen to live in a rural and scenic County. We ask that our elected County leaders respect our rural heritage and traditions, to preserve our scenic landscapes, and protect the agricultural and forestry districts of our region. The Fones Cliffs stretch of the Rappahannock is an unspoiled natural resource and a landmark of historical importance to our residents. We ask that you Vote No to the Diatomite Corporation's rezoning application.
