From the East coast to the West coast of Florida...From food to tourism, our lives depend on our water quality.  The Lake Okeechobee water releases are destroying our waters, our most valuable natural resource.  As if the algae blooms and fish kills aren't enough, our once beautiful, clear water now looks like root beer. This toxic cesspool harbors deadly bacteria, killing flora, fauna, and humans.  We must protect the Glades.  We must protect our waters.  We must protect our springs. By a 75% majority, we, the voters of Florida, mandated the change.  If you do not listen and continue to let "Big Sugar" buy your soul, your legacy will be "I killed South Florida".
