Molly is a German Shorthaired Pointer Dog who is in a 501c3 non-profit private shelter in Blountville, TN. The shelter (The Bridge Home No Kill Shelter, Blountville, TN) has a habit of not letting their dogs to be adopted out. These pups sit in kennels, sometimes for years, never being allowed adoption. Molly is one of them.

Although Molly has not been there nearly as long as some of the pups, every time someone asks to adopt Molly, they are told "No". This shelter will not even allow the GSP RESCUES to help Molly.

Molly will eventually go "cage crazy" if she is kept in that kennel. We want her out. There are wonderful families who are trying to adopt Molly,  and they are all being told "NO".

Please, HELP US FREE MOLLY !!

There are many other dogs there who have been there for years, sitting in kennels and not being adopted out.  This 501c3's mission statement states the organization is founded to give animals compassion, dignity and hope; this is far from the truth.  

Many people in the community have seen what is going on but have not succeeded in having anything done about this situation.  Many people who volunteer and work there are afraid to say anything about this for fear the President of the organization will retaliate by removing them from the shelter.  The board is of no help, as they are a part of the problem rather than a solution.  When any board members speak up they are immediately removed and told the reason is they are "not a good fit".  

Molly is very urgent.  She is in an emotional crisis.  She is extremely fearful of anyone, and the shelter believes they need to TRAIN her, and after 4 months of this "training", she is now shut down, scared to death, presses herself up against the back wall as tightly as she can and as far away from anyone as she can to stay away from people.  The President of the shelter, Regina Isenberg(who is allowed complete control), states she wishes she never got Molly; and we are fearful Molly is no longer safe at the shelter.

Many people have tried to adopt Molly, and answers from the shelter have been: 

Molly is not going anywhere; if Molly does go anywhere, she is going with the "trainer"; you can't have Molly because you have dogs(when they say Molly loves dogs; you don't need a dog; Molly hates people; too many people want Molly; you don't live here; the reasons change from day to day, person to person.

We tried to get Molly into the specific breed GSP rescue where they are experienced with this breed of dog. The GSP RESCUES have behavioralists who deal with abused GSPs, they fully vet the dogs, they have them in loving foster homes while waiting adoption, they find appropriate homes for GSP's (as this breed is extremely high energy) and they have the funding and resources to pay for everything a GSP might need.   

The reply from The Bridge Home No Kill Shelter was "we know what we are doing, we don't need any help and Molly is not going anywhere" 

So for the past 4+ months Molly has been traumatized by this shelter's tactics and belief that they know what they are doing by trying to MAKE Molly do what they want.  This is horrible abuse to this pup, and we want it to stop now.  We want molly to be able to be adopted into a loving family who understands GSP's and who knows how to best help abused ones.  We strongly recommend, to the point of almost insisting, this pup be placed with GSP Rescue who will be Molly's best chance of being helped in an appropriate manner.

We also would like an investigation into the shelter concerning the other animals there.  Too many of the dogs there are never getting out of there and have been there for years; they are not allowing people to adopt.  This is on par with "legalized hoarding".  

Other problems which exist are:  infected animals are put in with healthy ones (spreading disease); there have been reports of rat feces in the food; at times the air conditioning is not turned on for the animals; animals are out in the heat until people are worried they are overheated; some of the paperwork for dogs state they are there, but they are not there (where are they?); people with disabilities who would like to help there have been declined because of their disability, and because they had a  Service dog;  and they they will not answer the phone or return calls if you ask about adoption concerning some of the animals.

The president, Regina Isenberg, of the organization has stated that there should not be a  No-Kill shelter, rather all of the animals should be euthanized; which is in direct conflict with the organizations mission statement.  Regina was once going to kill a dog because she did not like the breed.  Someone called the person who had taken this dog there, and the person immediately came and got it before Regina had euthanized it.  

The person in control of this shelter is unstable and is not in line with the animals' well-being.  

It is known if anyone complains they will be removed from helping these animals.

Something needs to be done to stop this, as no 501c3 to protect animals should be causing harm and abuse to come to these animals.  This shelter needs to be thoroughly investigated, including their 501c3 status as a shelter; as they are not in compliance for which this 501c3 was founded, their tax returns have discrepancies, they have said this org does not do fundraisers when it does, there is no one accountable to anyone, and the board is a board in name only.  

Please help remove these animals from this situation so they can no longer be abused and emotionally scarred for life, or end up disappearing where no one knows where they are, as they are still listed as there.  

We are aware that removing all of these animals would be a great undertaking; however, we are a community of many animal lovers, animal advocates, fosters, adopters, rescue people, and we will step up and help get these animals transitioned to rescues, fosters and homes.  

Please help us to help these animals. Stop this abuse.
