I just wanted to posted a quick message to thank everyone who has signed and shared my petition helping me get my voice out there. Over 1100 of you supported me since this petition started 3 days ago and I can't begin to express how much it means to me. Friends, classmates, schoolmates and even strangers sending words of encouragement and support. Yet I still feel the people who could do something and make a difference are still trying to silence me. My school's principal, Mr. Spero, keeps sending emails out threatening students who protest for my cause with disciplinary action. Don't we have the right to be heard? It's been said he's hidden things and swept things under the rug in the past, but I never knew how much truth there was to that until this week. I'm 14. I have the right to feel safe in my school, yet nothing has been done and it seems like he has no intention of doing anything at all. Why am I being punished for telling my story? What has to happen for them to really listen? What has to happen for something to be done?
