Why this petition matters

Willow Marsh Farm is a 5th generation family farm in Ballston Spa, NY. I recently became co-owner of Willow-Marsh Farm Store, LLC after managing the store for about 18 months. Being in daily contact with customers in-person, on the Instagram and Facebook pages I manage, and now the website I created, the same request is made repeatedly: "Can you deliver the raw milk?" As of today (3/6/22) we can only sell it from the farm. Allowing us to deliver raw milk will bring us very needed business! Possibly enough to be solvent. Allowing farmers to deliver raw milk will promote economic growth in rural areas, save our customers time & money (some travel over 90 minutes), lower our customer carbon dioxide emissions (if we can deliver to a Co-Op or CSA), & increase sales (to those unable to travel or who work during our hours of operation) for farms who hold a Raw Milk Permit in NYS. More and more people are showing interest in unprocessed foods. During the pandemic my co-owner, Charles Curtiss, requested an addendum to the current law (a letter to Ag & Markets Div. of Milk Control) to allow us to offer contact-free delivery of the raw milk & he was denied. Please support your dairy farmers & change the law.
