On August 13th, 2 religious men were killed about a block away from the local mosque, where 1 of the victims is the leading imam. The shooting has yet to unveil a motive or suspect. Police reports from the 106th precinct have stated that the shooting may have been a robbery gone wrong. The surroundong neighborhood, being majorly muslim and bangladeshi, feel strongly that the shooting was rather a hate crime against the muslim community. Currently the case is being handled by the 106th precinct, and the intent of this is to get the case prioritized up to the District Attorney.
