This poor dog didn't deserve to have his life taken by a very irresponsible hunter. I often see animal cruelty cases get swept under the rug and it's time things change. This 'hunter' admitted to doing this, and he broke the law. Definitely not a responsible gun handler. Hunting on land that's not even his, why would he think he could shoot an innocent dog that was doing no wrong? His answer that he thought it was a stray, doesn't matter, stray or not, he should not have shot him! If we don't speak out, who will?
