We, the undersigned members of the Unity community, hereby express our deep concern regarding the direction in which Unity Technologies is headed under the leadership of John Riccitiello. Unity has been a beloved and essential platform for game developers, artists, educators, and countless others. However, recent decisions and actions taken by Unity's executive board, under Mr. Riccitiello's guidance, have eroded the trust and confidence of Unity's user base.

The heart of our concerns lies in the drastic changes to Unity's business model, which many of us find to be both unreasonable and unsustainable. These changes have placed financial burdens on developers and creators who rely on Unity to bring their creative visions to life. Unity's success has always been closely tied to the success of its users, and it is disheartening to see decisions that appear to prioritize short-term gains over the long-term health and vitality of the Unity ecosystem.

As a community, we believe that in order to rebuild the trust and return Unity to a more user-friendly and community-oriented path, it is imperative to reconsider the leadership at the helm. We respectfully request that John Riccitiello step down as Unity's CEO, allowing for new leadership that can bring Unity back to its roots as a platform that empowers and supports its users.

We call upon Unity Technologies' board of directors to listen to the voices of the Unity community and take action to restore Unity's reputation as a trusted and user-centric platform.
