Put signs of people lost at rocks off of Newton Ave. and Bass Rock

The Issue

For years and years, people have perished fishing, swimming and exploring the rocks along the shoreline between Narragansett Beach and Scarborough State Beach. This past weekend was the latest fatality of a 14 yr old girl from MA.  Let this be the last.  If we had signs from Monahans dock, Newton Ave, and Black Point, we may be able to decrease those fatalities.  It is a very dangerous stretch of our coastline in Narragansett.  If we had a memorial sign with names of those that lost their lives here, it may help deter people from swimming there.  No matter the cost to taxpayers, this cost is minimal compared to the lives changed by these tragedies.  RI has always squandered money for far less than people's lives.  Sure, people will still swim and explore this rocky shoreline.  However, for those that don't know how dangerous, these signs may help them think twice.  For many, they know not to chance it.  Even under the calmest seas, there's tremendous risk involved with the waves, undertow and geologic formations there.  I'm begging for people to sign and for our legislative branches to act.
