The plan for 29 homes just off Blake Street in Maerdy will be the subject of a site visit by members of Rhondda Cynon Taf’s planning committee on Tuesday, April 17.

There have been some concerns over traffic and the development with 50 people signing a potition against the development.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the people of Maerdy. Local people creating local jobs and beautiful homes for local hard working people who are looking to live in larger private homes in our beautiful little village. I was one of the children who had many years of fun playing in Blake street and so do my children today. But this development will only be a benefit to our area, a development of houses offset from a lovely little terrace street. It's no different to the many other small new build estates developed amongst terrace houses. It will build our community and keep the people of Maerdy in Maerdy.
