Cecil Rhodes does not, has never, and will never represent the views of the people of Bishop's Stortford.

The good work that the Arts Centre do in our community should not be tarnished by the legacy of such a man.

Within the Bishop's Stortford Museum, we must teach of the evils of Rhodes' ideology, not glorify them by naming the focal point of our town's culture scene after him.

We ask them to rename the centre to better reflect the people of our town, and of our modern society.
