Stop allowing hunting dogs to be kept in small, cramped rabbit hutches

The Issue

I have recently witnessed an unusual and CRUEL way in which several beagles are being KEPT because they are raised as hunting dogs. They are kept outside 24/7 in a small cramped, dark rabbit hutch with wiring for them to continually stand on. The cage is raised off the ground (as a normal rabbit hutch would be) with supposedly "adequate" shelter so I have learned that this is an acceptable way of housing these poor animals. I have notified ASPCA and the Humane Society and also a group here in RI called "Defenders of Animals." I am told there is legislation being reintroduced at the state house by Rep Patricia Serpa that will remove the exceptions that NOW allow hunters and others to treat hunting dogs in this manner. The date has not been set yet, but in the meantime, I am putting the word out there as MUCH as I can in hopes of calling attention to this horrible "existence" for these poor dogs and others  (wherever they may be) in hopes of making this seen as CRUELTY and made against the law!!

The day I witnessed this they were howling so much and I had all I could do to stop myself from trespassing and remove these poor dogs...but in reality that would've only landed me in jail...so I'm doing the next best thing ( I HOPE) to save them from a lonely, uncomfortable, boring life in a cage. PLEASE HELP BY SPREADING THE WORD!!!  Thanks.
