Support the passage of a Farm Brewery Law in RI
This petition had 432 supporters
Rhode Island is one of the few remaining states in the northeast that does not recognize farm breweries. Surrounding states recognize the importance of farm brewery laws to help support agriculture, preserve open space, create new jobs, and generate tourism revenue.
Rhode Island currently has a farm winery law, which allows vineyards that grow grapes to produce and sell wine at their farm, however, a farm brewery law does not exist. A farm brewery bill, which mimics the farm winery law, has been submitted every year for the past three years at the state house but has yet to pass. As a result, farm breweries in RI are forced to apply for a Manufacturer's Brewery license which can cause issues with local zoning in agricultural areas and doesn't reflect the added benefits that come with farm brewery licenses in other states.
Your support is needed to tell your local Senators and Representatives that you support a farm brewery law in Rhode Island.
