As a bail bondsman, I personally witness the consequences of our neglected youth daily due to a lack of recreational and educational activities in our community. We need to fix this. I propose repurposing local property for a non-profit organization, specifically a community center for children and young people.

Our community needs programming designed to strengthen social bonds, reduce crime rates, and provide a safe space for kids to learn and grow. According to the National Center for Community Policing, community centers can reduce risky behavior among youth by providing a supportive environment and constructive activities (National Center for Community Policing, 2016).

This is not just about zoning—it's about empowering our children, strengthening our community, and ensuring a safer future for everyone. These children are not only our future leaders but also our future innovators, thinkers, and indeed the backbone of our community.
