Many people depend on veterinary care for their animals across the border due to their affordable pricing. Mexico has saved the lives of hundreds if not thousands of pets, from people of low-income, middle-class backgrounds to animal rescues and organizations, and simply citizens who can't afford treatment in the U.S. Unfortunately, The United States has very expensive vet care for pets, even with pet insurance they aren't as affordable as Mexico. Many people depend on veterinary care for their animals across the border, if it wasn't for Mexico, many more pets and animals would be dead including my own. Starting August 1st, the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is requiring pets to meet more extensive requirements such as requiring all vaccines, ISO microchip, and be at least 6 months old to cross the border or travel from another country back into the U.S (this is where it's going to affect military families with dogs below the age of 6 months), and fill out a form each time you cross the border or travel, through the CDC website a few days prior to your arrival (atleast 2-10days prior) and you must know when you'll be returning, you can make changes to the form but u need to reapply all over again. The CDC fails to recognize the negative affect this will have on Rescues and organizations, anyone who travels with their pets, Americans of low-income to middle class will suffer and will be left with no choice but to euthanize or relinquish a beloved pet due to not being able to afford treatment. I believe that All that the CDC and U.S Customs and Border Protection should require when crossing the border with a pet from the U.S to Mexico/Canada, or any Low-Risk Rabies Country, is proof of vaccinations and an official U.S. rabies certificate. If they want stricter rules, they should require vaccines, a rabies certificate from a licensed U.S veterinary office and perhaps a one-time upload or copy of a health certificate proving the pet is from or at least has U.S vaccinations. Although I am not opposed to the microchip rule, as it is beneficial for pets, not everyone is comfortable microchipping their pets as there is a lot of misinformation about microchips. Having owners fill out a form prior to every time you cross the border is realistically impossible for emergency cases, and puppies can start receiving vaccines age 6 - 8 weeks of age, I an Ex- veterinary assistant fail to see the point of waiting for pets to be 6 months of age. Emergencies happen not everyone has the luxury to afford pet care in the U.S. Mexico and Canada are not a High-Risk Rabies country. I understand these stricter rules being pushed on countries who are High-Risk, but Mexico isn't on the High-Risk list. Let's prevent unnecessary hardship on pet owners and rescue organizations. Sign the petition to revoke these new border requirements for pets and service animals. If you agree, share the petition it needs at least 100,000 signatures in order for the federal government to be alerted and make changes. Even if you don't agree you should still consider sharing, the people around you deserve to have a choice. Below will be the official CDC link so all of you can see for yourself at how harsh this new law will be. Some are saying this is "an effort to clear our shelters" if anything it's going to make things much worse. When people have to relinquish their pet because they can't afford vet care where do you think their dogs go? Oh yeah ... THE SHELTERS! Either that or the streets in hopes they find someone who can afford to treat them, if the government is so worried about clearing the shelters than implement laws that will actually benefit the world as a whole. Focus on laws on breeders, spaying and neutering laws! To the vet offices in the U.S who agree with this law because it "financially benefits you" or the "money should be kept here" I think it's time you start reconsidering you're love of animals. Those vet offices with that mind set should be happy that those owners are at least taking their dog elsewhere for care instead of letting them suffer. Wouldn't u do anything it took to save the life of your pet?
Thank you!

Donations are appreciated since I'm working all by myself on this campaign the donations would be used for flyers, campaign supplies, and gas! Your signature and shares are more than enough thank you everyone 💓 depending on how many donations I receive the money collected will be used for the campaign. Towards the end of campaign, depending what I still have left over it might even be used for opening a non-profit animal rescue or if it's a small amount it will be used for my own pets for their medical savings it just really depends on how many donate. For now, all the donations will be used for campaign.
Thank you everyone for your continued support 🙏 ❤️
