Good Evening,
Today, there was supposed to be a defamation hearing at the High Court involving Denise Annmaire 'Afua' Rose, Lorraine 'LB' Brown (an alleged victim), and a moderator from Afua Speaks Community Conversations. To our surprise, neither Denise nor Lorraine showed up, and it has come to light that both of them declined to sign for recent court documents delivered to their homes, despite having done so previously.
What is truly astonishing, if not concerning, is that just on January 26th, Denise boldly stated online, "She is not afraid of being locked up or death." Where is that same courage in real life? She also claimed she was "willing to go to court" with her recent case, claiming proper representation and a commitment to doing things correctly. Here was her chance to prove it.
Here, for the first time, she had herself as an alleged victim. why did she not 'die on her sword' and stand upon her truth and fulfill the role she professes as a community vanguard? They chose to hide, ignore, and act as if this situation never existed. BUT IT DID!
It raises the question: was it because she doesn't want to be part of the'system,' or perhaps it's just that both Denise and Lorraine were lying, lacking solid evidence for their claims, that prevented them from perjuring themselves (a criminal offense) in court?
Only they truly know the reasons behind their actions, but one thing is clear: whoever is advising them legally needs to be reported to the SRA!
The confidence Denise 'Afua' Rose has online is contrasted with her apparent cowardice in real life. It's a blatant act of hypocrisy and only shows a total disregard for the women whom she brings on her platform! If she cannot stand with them in civil court, how can she stand with them in criminal court?
We firmly declare, "ENOUGH!"
The Blac Awards informed us that hundreds of people supported her to receive the Community Appreciation Award. However, we now have HUNDREDS of individuals signing a petition to have that very same award REVOKED! Her behavior has been unethical, unprofessional, and contrary to the law of the land.
We ask the Blacc Awards and its sponsors and funders:
- How is Denise 'Afua' Rose's behavior the embodiment of a community leader or public figure?
- What message does this send to the broader community?
- What about the innocent people she has called out in the community?
- How do Denise's actions in posting the identity of an alleged rape victim (who has anonymity for life) translate into community appreciation?
- Why do you and Denise's good friend Cyrlene Braithwaite from Britain's got Reggae, share the same business address?
