According to statistics from the U.S. Department of Human Health Services, almost 60% of child abuse perpetrators are parents, making it an alarming and urgent concern that demands immediate action. Nevertheless, the current policy does not necessarily strip these offending parents of their legal rights and may leave other children potentially vulnerable to abuse. Unfathomably, it may also force victims to maintain connection with their abusers, contributing to ongoing psychological trauma.

This gaping fault in our legal system could expose countless innocent children to danger in the very place and with the very people they should feel safest among. We cannot afford to standstill and let our children's lives be overshadowed by such profound fear and trauma.
