Neil Wilby is a malicious blogger as labelled by the High Court of England in Judgements passed down by Mr Justice Bean and  Judge Richard Parkes QC (now KC) for abusive and malicious attacks against several people over two separate defamation cases.

In one prominent case, Neil Wilby of West Yorkshire accused an innocent man of being a paedophile (read about that here)

In another, he attacked 3 people in what Judge Parkes said the allegations levelled against the three by Neil Wilby were ‘plainly calculated to cause alarm and distress’. (read about that here)

Even after over £100,000 in costs, Neil Wilby has not stopped his malicious blogging and hides under what he believes is a protective wing afforded to him by the NUJ (the National Union of Journalists). 

Professor Chris Frost (pictured below) refuses to investigate the malicious blogging of Neil Wilby even though there are strict NUJ ethical policies,  thus, turning a blind eye to criminal Journalism within the NUJ. Read the NUJ policies on Ethics here)

 

 

Neil Wilby seems undeterred by the previous damaging and costly judgements against him and has continued his carnage of abuse by malicious blogging, targeting many people who have reported him to the authorities with little success.

There are two legal cases where it shows malicious Journalists will be prosecuted and convicted. (read about them here and here)

Neil Wilby has specifically targeted two men, Mr Raja Miah (MBE) and Mr Paul Ponting.

For years, Neil Wilby has created almost daily malicious articles about Mr Miah, accusing him of despicable and false criminal acts, such as fraud and involvement in Child Sexual Exploitation. 

Neil Wilby has even gone so far as to make accusations Mr Miah is gay, a police informant, and posted images of his front door in a bid to incite an attack on him. When this failed, Mr Wilby attempted to blackmail Mr Miah into a ‘charity’ boxing match, hoping to goad him for a fight. Mr Miah is not a violent man and has no intention of resorting to fighting. He just wants Mr Wilby to stop.

Wilby has also repeatedly referred to Mr Miah using racist undertones and repeatedly used the term ‘tandoori’ when describing him. Most recently, under the protection he enjoys from the NUJ, Wilby wanted to see Mr Miah burned alive in a tandoori oven and also threatened to knock him into next week.

Furthermore, not satisfied with directly attacking Mr Miah, Neil Wilby has falsely claimed that a vicious carjacking that Mr Miah was a victim of whilst with his 6-year-old daughter was fabricated. This is a completely fabricated allegation as the police attended, as did neighbours following hearing the screams of a child as Mr Miah was attacked.

Not satisfied, Neil Wilby even contacted Mr Miah’s daughter’s school in an attempt to cause further alarm and distress.

More recently, Neil Wilby has aggressively turned on Mr Ponting, accusing him of several criminal offences, including theft, fraud, and assault, amongst many other things.

Neil Wilby also went on to blackmail Mr Ponting for payments of cash to unknown recipients should Mr Ponting not meet his demands.

Neil Wilby sent a known criminal to Mr Ponting's place of work to get photographs for him, which were later published to cause alarm and distress.

As of 18/8/2023, West Yorkshire police have confirmed that Neil Wilby is under criminal investigation for suspicion of Blackmail, Stalking, Malicious Communications and Harassment against Mr Ponting and Mr Miah.

Neil Wilby has sheepishly agreed to attend a voluntary police interview under criminal caution. Neil Wilby has also agreed that he will refrain from his malicious blogging (only since the police have spoken with him).

Mr Ponting has made efforts to trace Neil Wilby in an attempt to serve legal papers to bring a High Court claim against him for Defamation.

An address was traced lawfully  (by private investigation) to a Derbyshire address in which Mr Ponting travelled over 90 miles to serve papers.

The resident, however, confirmed she was Mr Wilby's ex-wife and, in speaking to Mr Ponting, seemed concerned for the trauma her ex-husband had caused. She agreed to pass on the letter, which indicated she is aware of his location or in touch with him.

However, she assured Mr Ponting that Neil Wilby has no connection to the address (which she is the sole owner of, according to the Land Registry) and that Neil Wilby has never lived there.

Suspiciously, the private investigation uncovered that Neil Wilby is, in fact, financially linked to the address, and West Yorkshire police confirmed his car is registered there, posing suspicion of car insurance fraud.

West Yorkshire police have confirmed Neil Wilby is being evasive with them, only able to communicate with him by email.

In summary, Neil Wilby is a malicious blogger; he is not an investigative journalist and should be prevented from joining any reputable Journalist union, which gives him a blanket of protection. 

It is time the journalist community acted and called on the NUJ to revoke this man’s membership in their organisation.
