In the two weeks following its release, this petition has been met with both support, anger, and silence:

• Support to create a safe sport for all dogs, by people who have experimented with muzzles in lure coursing, then banned them due to dogs of any size being susceptible to entanglement and injury, and people who also have Italian Greyhounds and are concerned for their dog's safety and wellbeing in the sport. 
• Anger from people whose dogs have been attacked in the sport, then continued to be placed at risk of attack in direct contravention of existing rules to manage problem dogs, and choosing to advocate that I follow the process of waiting until the next rule review in 5 years' time. 
• Silence from groups who refused to share this post with their club members, or quietly removed posts without explanation.

There is a clear need to continue advocating for the safety of all dogs, and the adherence to the rules, in lure coursing.
