How many more headlines like this do you need?

How many more documented cases of neglect, fraud, sepsis, trauma, and death before someone in Richmond decides that vulnerable people in Virginia are worth more than corporate profit?

Because here we are—months after federal investigators confirmed abuse and immediate jeopardy conditions at Harrisonburg Health & Rehabilitation Center—and not one of you has called for the license to be revoked. Not one has introduced legislation to prevent this from happening again. Not one has offered meaningful help to the staff or residents who are living this nightmare every day.

But sure, let’s keep pretending that “compliance plans” and fines buried in a corporate budget are enough. Let’s keep hiding behind FOIA exemptions while pretending there’s nothing to see here. Let’s hold another “awareness event” led by someone’s well-connected spouse while actual caregivers are quitting in despair and residents are being left in soiled briefs for days.

If a CNA did even half of what these facilities get away with on a weekly basis, they’d lose their license.
But when it’s a corporation? You hand them more time, more taxpayer money, and more cover.

We’ve been patient. We’ve been polite. We’ve emailed. We’ve called. We’ve sent documentation.
What we haven’t seen is action.

You were elected to protect people—not donors.
So which is it going to be?

Because every day you delay is another day someone suffers in silence, and the people watching are done being silent too.
