Shame on You Legislators.

While residents in Virginia’s nursing homes suffer from abuse, neglect, and chronic understaffing — and while frontline caregivers are stretched to their breaking point — some of our elected officials are cashing checks from the very corporations responsible.

Let’s name them:
 • Delegate Luke Torian — accepted $27,500 from American HealthCare LLC
 • Delegate Bobby Orrock — took $19,500 from Medical Facilities of America (MFA)
 • Senator George Barker — pocketed $15,000 from MFA
 • Delegate Terry Kilgore — accepted $12,500 from MFA
 • Delegate Mark Sickles — received over $10,000 from American HealthCare LLC

These companies are under fire for:
 • Staffing their facilities below safe levels
 • Taking in more residents than they can safely care for
 • Allowing preventable deaths, injuries, and violations of basic human dignity

Yet these lawmakers chose to take their money — and block or ignore desperately needed reforms like Dale’s Law, which would mandate safe staffing levels and stop facilities from admitting patients they can’t care for.

They didn’t side with the residents. They didn’t side with the nurses. They sided with the lobbyists.
That’s not leadership — that’s betrayal.

Virginians are watching. And we will remember who put corporate greed ahead of human life.
