Fighteer—one of the key moderators of TV Tropes—has drawn the ire of many for blatantly abusing his authority. He polices the wiki with an iron fist and has banned numerous tropers for arbitrary and petty reasons. These include but are not limited to honest mistakes in grammar or spelling, peculiar but otherwise harmless usernames and opinions and information that some might see an inconvenient, but are ultimately benign and relevant to the pages and discussions they have been added to. Those who have tried to appeal these unjustified suspensions have been met with very rude, condescending replies from Fighteer and an abrupt end to further communication. As a moderator, he is supposed to be fair, impartial and nonbelligerent. Instead, he is an intolerant, uncompromising bully. His actions reflect very poorly on the credibility of TV Tropes and its staff, who are seemingly unable or unwilling to do anything about it.

It is long past time Fighteer was held accountable for his unconscionable behavior and was removed from the moderator team of TV Tropes. The accounts he unjustly banned must also be unsuspended the next time they are appealed. Getting rid of him will ensure credibility and popularity is restored to TV Tropes. If not, those will continue to wane due to Fighteer’s unchecked bias and corruption.
